Alarm Monitoring

Alarm monitoring of both intruder and fire alarms means that the alarm system is connected to a receiving centre allowing immediate action to be taken should the alarm be triggered. This is especially useful for those premises that are unoccupied for a set period during a single day, as an alarm sounding does not mean that a response is initiated unless it is monitored. There are different levels of response depending upon the type of monitoring contract.

At GB Monitoring we provide a 24/7 alarm monitoring service for both intruder and fire alarms in accordance to BS 5979:2007, the code of practice for monitoring stations who receive signals from fire and security systems.

Our alarm monitoring service ensures that alerts are received and acted upon as quickly as possible by notifying keyholders and initiating a police response.

  • Peace of mind that when premises are left unattended there still will be fast detection of intrusion or fire with immediate action being taken.
  • Alarm monitoring reduces the risk to business continuity through loss and/or damage to business assets.
  • For domestic clients, alarm monitoring reduces the risk of personal loss and upset cause by fire or theft.
  • It may help to reduce insurance premiums.
